Headquartered in Bristol, Virginia, Bristol Compressors designed and manufactured hermetic reciprocating compressors for residential and light commercial air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration applications. The Company supplied compressors to original equipment manufacturers and wholesale distributors on six continents and in more than 60 countries around the world. Bristol Compressors offered a variety of ozone-friendly refrigerant compressors with fixed- and variable-frequency drive configurations, high-output heat pump compressors, geothermal targeted products, and the highest performing refrigeration compressors in the industry. During peak operations, Bristol Compressors generated $200 million in annual revenue.
Winter Harbor was hired to assess current financial situation of Bristol Compressors and explore all reorganization options. The Company faced irreversible issues and lost support of its senior lender. We served as Chief Restructuring Officer to handle the 60-day wind down of the business.
